About me
I’m Whitney Taylor and I’m a behaviour analyst certified by the BACB and the UKSBA with a background in intellectual and developmental disabilities, positive behaviour support and leadership across adults and children disability services.
My work is grounded in two simple beliefs:
Every person can learn, and when support is not working, we must first look at the environments, systems, teaching, and contingencies surrounding the person and not just the person themselves.
Behaviour analysts exist to be of service to others for the improvement in quality of life - applied behaviour analysis is the technology we use to do that.
I’m passionate about real-world application of behaviour analysis: what happens when science moves beyond theory and into complex human environments involving large teams, competing priorities, organisational systems, and everyday implementation challenges.
This space exists to explore practical applications of behaviour analysis without losing the integrity of our science and the precision of its application.
I’m particularly interested in:
Behavioural leadership and systems approach
Adopting a functional perspective
Fidelity of implementation
Behaviour Support across complex environments.
Robust functional behaviour assessments
Reinforcement in practice
My broader vision is to contribute to the recognition and advancement of behaviour analysis as a distinct, valuable, and respected profession - while ultimately using that knowledge and experience to further support and serve my community.
